About Ramblin'

Ramblin' is an album of traditional blues and country songs by Lucinda Williams. When it was first released in 1979, the album was titled Ramblin' on My Mind; for re-issues, it was shortened to Ramblin'. Smithsonian Folkways provides a description: "The first recordings from an artist with a gift for interpreting original blues from Robert Johnson to Memphis Minnie to the Carter Family. Williams’s unmistakable sound is powerfully direct and filled with melancholy and passion. " A review in Montana State University Exponent calls it "The quintessential recording of Lucinda Williams ... An unbelievably soulful ... vocalist."
