Acker Bilk & His Paramount Jazz Band was a musical group led by English clarinetist and composer Acker Bilk. The band was popular during the 1950s and 1960s, known for their traditional jazz sound and Bilk's distinctive deep, vibrato-rich clarinet style. They achieved international success with their hit instrumental track "Stranger on the Shore" in 1962. Bilk and his band contributed to popularizing traditional jazz and played an important role in the British jazz scene.
