Gabriel Galilei was an Italian lutenist and composer who lived during the late Renaissance period. He was the younger brother of the famous astronomer and mathematician Galileo Galilei. Gabriel Galilei was known for his contributions to the development of the lute as a solo instrument, as well as his compositions for the instrument. He was highly regarded for his skill and creativity in lute music, although his works are not widely known today.
