Gingerjake

Gingerjake is a Nu Metal band from Minneapolis, Minnesota. The name Gingerjake comes from a moonshine Ginger Jake during Prohibition. After forming in November 2002 and playing only seven shows together, they placed second in 93X's Battle Of The Bands and secured an appearance at Minneapolis' 93x Fest. In 2004, they returned to the 93X Battle Of The Bands and won a main stage slot at 93X Riverfest. Their Paralysis EP was released independently in March 2004 after traveling to Orange County, California and recording their debut EP with producer–engineer Cameron Webb. Their CD release performance at Minneapolis' Quest Club had an attendance of over 1,200 fans and a live DVD was filmed during that event. A DVD release show followed in October 2004. Gingerjake's next release was a collection of live songs with the studio single "Get It Get Off". At the CD release party of their Get It/Get Off live album they packed The Rock Nightclub with over 500 people. In 2007, they released How to Kiss the Devil Goodbye LP and sold out of the first pressing after only four weeks. The band broke up in 2009 due to personal differences.
