Hole was an American alternative rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1989. The band was fronted by singer and guitarist Courtney Love, and achieved significant success in the 1990s with their raw, angsty sound and provocative lyrics. Hole released four studio albums, including "Live Through This" and "Celebrity Skin," before disbanding in 2002. They have been influential in the grunge and riot grrrl movements, and their music continues to be appreciated by fans worldwide.
