The Stooges were an American rock band formed in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1967. They are known for their raw, energetic sound and their influential role in the development of punk rock. Led by frontman Iggy Pop, the band released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 1969, which featured the iconic track "I Wanna Be Your Dog." Despite limited commercial success during their initial run, the Stooges gained a cult following and left a lasting impact on rock music.
