The easy, fast & fun way to learn how to sing: 30DaySinger.com

A nuclear power plant exploded this morning

It’s certainly a virus

Conflicts over drinking water supplies are raging all across the continent

A rapid rise of the sea level

Organ trafficking

Confirmed by the mass killing happening across the country

It may have been human cloning

All Forests have gone up in smoke

Yesterday elephants went officially extinct

On “all news” TV shows
Or even radios
And daily printed press
No Heroes bear the stress
Skyscrapers tall smoken
Kyoto’s promise broken
Who’re these sentries that speak
At the Rio Summit’s peak
With condescending stares
Ponder chaos growing
Bitter harvest knowing
Selling snake oil wares
While burning on altars
Where smoke obscures the eye
Under a ragged sky
The ozone layer falters
Do they wait for the great melt
Expected all to soon
Our Tower of Babel’s felt
The heat of a sizzling noon

The sinking atolls dread
The ocean’s dark deep tomb
Drowned city of the dead
Its waves end in gloom
Glaciers water denied
And flowers on pack-ice grow
Spoil all the corals below
Tropical fish go hide
Even swim to Venice
That faces a wet menace
And always in our haste
Let beauty go to ruin
Treasures gone to waste
All nature’s gifts will end
Of course we are to blame
The gallows to befriend
Of dealing-death a game
Joys and jewel abused
For nature is at war
The planet all confused

The palette is so bare
See all the picture’s flaws
Stand back and give it air
And just a minute’s pause
Give more wholesome breathing space
Gain relief rightly owed
In fallow fields a place
To set down her heavy load
Avian flus in ages lost
Had plagues of far less cost
Tribes’s hopes all nearly gone
Again their lands defending
Just see the Amazon
Its suffering unending
Distant Eden’s features
Maybe artificial flowers
Have immortal powers
But not living creatures
And my heart is all in knots
When to Noah go my thoughts

His Ark like great lifeboats
Over the rainbow floats
Géricault blew these notes
A life where we never fail
To lead the lambs to slaughter
And harpoon the trusting whale
Proud bulls killed for fodder
Medusa petrified Pan’s face
Leviathan’s extinction
Massacre’s sickening pace
Making no distinction
Amongst the penguin race
While Golden Eagles fly
As doves embrace the sky
Like Simon of Cyrene
To bear her cross my belief
Our crimes won’t go unseen
It’s a price we all must pay
Cain slew Abel vile thief
We too our brothers slay

Lost swallows cannot stay
That have no seasons more
The storks always on time
Their very homes ignore
To distant skies do climb
New horizons they implore
Far from diesel’s roars
And far from all pollutions
To distant islands shores
No soiled or grey solutions
Our barrels of crude oil
Spilled all along her coasts
And burn in blood-soaked soil
The herds by the hundred hosts
Chernobyl or Bhopal
How much are Ethics worth there
El Niño pays the Devil’s share
Aral sees her waters fall
And her lofty secrets bear
Which from Heaven sees us all

Modified genes reserved
For cloning labor pains
And still you’re not disturbed
Even deadly hurricanes
And cast a curse or spell
On flora and fauna fell
Bangladesh’s drowning breath
Where many still starve to death
Eritrea’s dry form
No shelter from the storm
The Total petrol bill
At the Final stations
Bid Elves to drink their fill
With the blood of nations
Homo sapiens must cease
Such damage it’s not worth
This folly to give birth
Cannon fodder to increase
Of genocide and hate
Millions victim’s fate

This land that we bleed dry
Inflicting endless strife
Knowledge we must apply
She has but one sole life
The children she must teach
The virtues and Love to share
A new dawn that we reach
What will you and I do till
We end her long nightmare
Or we our Mother kill

From N’Orleans flooded state
To Kilimanjaro
This song we dedicate
Where it may further flow
Aquarian Age shows
An anthem for all your woes
Unified at last by hope
And freed from indifference
Our final chance to cope
Calypso’s deliverance
Our Earth is an imperiled dome
Blue marble our only home
