About Lose It

"Lose It" is a single by the five-piece American pop-rock band Cartel, recorded for the MTV show Band in a Bubble. This was the first song recorded by Cartel while they spent 20 days recording a new album in a glass bubble. It was released as the group's first single from their self-titled second album Cartel, on June 12, 2007. The song featured female vocalist Juliet Simms of the band Automatic Loveletter and the ringtone reflected her portion of the song although her vocals were removed from the video. "Lose It" was originally written as the first track for the new album and was performed live from the band's studio on June 1, 2007 for TRL's Spankin' New Music Week. The Cartel album was released on August 21, 2007. The "Lose It" single became available on iTunes and Napster on June 12, 2007, the same day Cartel was released from the bubble.

Well it's that time
It's that time again
Well it's all coming back around
There she sees me
Oh my god, this is who I've been
And I'm branding each day

Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all
(Go, go)
Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all

Immediately we find out then
That I can be blamed for this
Well then you just figured out today
And you're so sweet, you say
Go now and get your own life and live it your way
And I hear you say

Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all
(Go, go)
Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it
Go on and lose it all

Hey
Hey hey
Whoa
Hey, hey, hey
Well and if we find another then
We will get ours
And if we find another then
We will get ours

She's picking up her clothes
She's off and she's running
She says to me
Go on and lose it
I think she means well but
Man I can't tell as she says to me
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it all
Go on and lose it all

A single entity that holds a monopoly by this definition cannot be a cartel, though it may be guilty of abusing said monopoly in other ways. Cartels usually occur in oligopolies, where there are a small number of sellers and usually involve homogeneous products. In general, cartels can be divided into domestic and international agreements. Export cartels constitute a special case of international cartels. Unlike other carte… more »
