Kevin Rowland & Dexys Midnight Runners were a British band formed in 1978. They were known for their energetic and soulful sound, combining elements of punk, pop, and Celtic folk music. Their most famous hit is "Come On Eileen," which reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart in 1982. Although they went through several lineup changes over the years, Kevin Rowland remained the driving force behind the band. Dexys Midnight Runners disbanded in 1987 but reunited in 2003 with new members. more »
