About Ese Hombre

"Ese Hombre" (English: "That Man") is a song written by Ana Magdalena and Manuel Alejandro and performed by Spanish recording artist Rocío Jurado for her studio album Señora (1979). It was released by RCA Records as a B-side to "Señora" in 1980. In 1994, American salsa singer La India recorded the track for her first solo album, Dicen Que Soy (1994), which was produced by Sergio George. Lyrically, the song is about a womanizer who lures women into a wrongful relationship filled with lies and deceit. "Ese Hombre" is the salsa song responsible for La India's honorific title as the "Princess of Salsa", according to The New York Times. The recording received positive reviews and acclaim from media respondents. "Ese Hombre" peaked at number one on the US Billboard Tropical Songs chart and peaked within the top 20 on the US Billboard Hot Latin Tracks and Latin Pop Songs charts. The track became La India's second number-one single on the Tropical Songs chart behind, "Nunca Voy a Olvidarte".

Ese hombre que tu ves ahí
que parece tan galante
tan atento y arrogante
lo conozco como a mi
ese hombre que tu ves ahí
que aparenta ser divino
tan amable y efusivo
solo sabe hacer sufrir
es un gran necio
un estúpido engreído
egoísta y caprichoso
un payaso vanidoso

inconsciente y presumido
falso malo rencoroso
que no tiene corazon
lleno de celos
sin razones ni motivos
como el viento impetuoso
pocas veces cariñoso
inseguro de si mismo
insoportable como amigo
insufrible como amor

ese hombre que tu ves ahí
que parece tan amable
no digo si agradable
lo conozco como a mi
ese hombre que tu ves ahí
que parece tan seguro
de pisar bien por el mundo
solo sabe hacer sufrir
es un gran necio
un estúpido engreído
egoísta y caprichoso
un payaso vanidoso

inconsciente y presumido
falso malo rencoroso
que no tiene corazon
lleno de celos
sin razones ni motivos
como el viento impetuoso
pocas cosas cariñoso
inseguro de si mismo
insoportable como amigo
insufrible como amor
me engañaste con traición
tu no tienes corazon
solo sabe hacer sufrir
tu no tienes corazon
me engañaste con traición

tu no tienes corazon
ese hombre que tu ves ahí
parece tan amable
pero no es agradable
me engañaste con traición
tu no tienes corazon
pocas veces cariñoso
es un payaso vanidoso
que me llena de dolor
tu no tienes corazon
tu no tienes corazon
tu no tienes corazon

tu me engañaste
y me traicionaste
no te quiero mas
falso malo rencoroso
ya no te quiero mas
tu me engañaste
tu me engañaste
y me traicionaste
no te quiero ya
no no no no no no
quiero verte mas
oh no ya no no no
tu me engañaste
tu me engañaste
y me traicionaste
y me traicionaste
ay no te quiero
ya ya no voy a sufrir mas
ese hombre ya se va.
