"Monkey Business" is a song by Skid Row that was released in May 1991 as the lead single from their second album, Slave to the Grind and marked their change from hard-hitting glam metal to overall heavy metal. It was written by bandmates Rachel Bolan and Dave "the Snake" Sabo. The song was the biggest hit on Slave to the Grind and although the song didn't make the top 40 it reached number 13 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks and still gets heavy airplay on rock radio stations. The video got heavy rotation on MTV and catapulted the album to double-platinum status. The song also charted at number number 19 on the UK Singles chart.
