"Big Scary Animal" (also known as "It's Too Real (Big Scary Animal)") is a pop song written by Charlotte Caffey, Belinda Carlisle and Ralph Schuckett, produced by Schuckett for Carlisle's fifth studio album Real (1993). The song peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart, reached number 26 in Iceland and became a minor hit in Australia, Canada and Germany. Belinda Carlisle

Belinda Jo Carlisle (born August 17, 1958) is an American singer who gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the Go-Go's, one of the most successful all-female bands of all time and the first such group whose members wrote their own songs and played their own instruments.
