The song was later recorded by Jo Dee Messina on her album Delicious Surprise. Released on January 3, 2005, Messina's version spent two weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts that year, and her first chart single since "I Wish" in late 2003 – early 2004. Joe Logan Diffie (born December 28, 1958) is an American country music singer known for his ballads and novelty songs. After working as a demo singer in the 1980s, he signed with Epic Records' Nashville division in 1990.
