The Rascals (initially known as The Young Rascals) were an American blue-eyed soul group initially active during the years 1965–72. The band released numerous top ten singles in North America during the mid- and late-1960s, including the #1 hits "Good Lovin'" (1966), "Groovin'" (1967), and "People Got to Be Free" (1968), as well as "A Beautiful Morning" (#3 1968) and the lesser-known "A Girl Like You". SIlly Girl
Dont throw this love away
SIlly Girl
Dont let it die and fade

It not a toy you throw on the side bound to destroy me
maybe i've triying to hard to win your love maybe it isnt there maybe it s a crazy feeling i that i couldn't control because it isn't fair

silly girl you cant turn me off this way

listen leading my heart astray
it isnt fair i find dispair
you go on care free
maybe it's not my time to find a girl
and i maybe i shouldnt kow
 possibly there's no reason to

maybe i shouldnt try to understand
maybe i needn't care
what if i let it go on freely
keep repeating you're not decieving
silly girl there's nothing more to say
silly girl you'll go on anyway
