This is one of seven songs written by or co-written by Holiday that she never recorded."Who Needs You" appears to have been written by Holiday as an answer to Louis McKay upon his leaving her during their marriage. The song was recorded, after Holiday's death, by Aretha Franklin for her first album for Columbia Records in 1961, titled "Aretha".
