Ayo I grew up in a time when idols ain't got a chance to be our rivals Cuz they poppin pills and overdosing on nyquils Mainstream promise that the drugs are great But they seem to not cover the final fate Bad taste All the big dogs show is that they eating a full plate So we got kids starting young brain cells going to waste Now we got them locked up for a drug case We losing rappers from gun shots and bullet wounds Set up situations the outside world so confused Jahseh, Gustav, Derrick I know we still feel their spirits It doesn't matter if coleman was cold man Gustav made more than peeps when he came with greater plans Jahseh xed out the streets when he showed his open hands Mac showed me comedy belonged in rap He showed me just to be myself and be all of that But he swam too deep and got caught got trapped Now we lost another life another shortened plaque Now these fake fans wanna act like they knew the rapper could rap Now that's wack Respect death but don't hop on the wagon I knew the artist to core before but I'm not braggin Just saying don't use death to try to start swaggin I miss these artists every day Hits me hard in every way They meant more to me than could be easily imagined I felt their passion I find myself always asking Why the legends die young? Why my idols experience stopped lungs?
