A lot on my mind I think I need to take a load off Electric design the way I'm blacking out and go off The stage is the only place I'm cool to be a show off But tap dance for nobody I rather break a toe off This year a lot has happened Few tears, a lot of laughing Projects that I've been crafting New goals that I'm attacking The only signing that I did was when I'm autographing Post performances with cheers and clapping Did the second LxVE Fest Messed around and sold it out Now they see what I'm about Left them asking what's next Imma stick to my guns Like cowboys on the run Get legit with these funds Keep pushing then we'll see what's to come And spread love with every breath in my lungs Can't you see I'm the one I done messed around and found the real thing Bought a real ring You're the favorite song I ever heard and still sing Butterflies all in my stomach I know the feeling Want it all better or worse, sickness and healing Can't believe we tied the knot, jumped the broom, had a hop Made a rapper slow it down, should have signed to Rap-A-Lot April 15 2017 Every single thing in my whole life changed No exaggeration best time of my life Fam and friends all in town, Ant drove through the night Everybody all together had me nothing but hype To celebrate that I found my best friend and a wife Which there is nothing like Now you're my only type Knew you were angel way before you strolled in all white This was only confirmation You bless my life like a preacher does his congregation Thank you for your patience My cousin Lance had his second son I'm not a family man now but it's yet to come You're to blame for this loving husband I've become Less is more that's why I'm glad that I've found the one You're the one It's just a regular day The first day after May Newly married with a gold ring finger display No babies on the way But back at the 9-5 cause it's bringing the pay Plotting on a way out although the job does have its uses Save a few more months and then I'm chucking up the deuces All seemed right even had an exit strategy But that didn't end up the plan God had for me Boss called me casually To have a meeting after three Feeling like the bad student meeting with faculty Said it's sad to see, but now our budgets cut drastically Battled with the board and your position was a casualty Budget's tight so we're letting you go We'll give you 4 weeks pay to get your ducks in row Everything went slow, thinking oh hell no As I'm packing up my stuff and heading straight to door What I'm gonna tell my wife, we just started our new life Feeling like I got stabbed in my stomach with a knife That's a tough conversation Hard to be excellent when you ain't bringing home the bacon Scrapping for ends meat, I used to have steak in Now I got 4 jobs hustle on Jamaican Man ain't it funny how life works sometimes Now I'm running for my goals trying to dodge land mines Now I'm earning lesser , but it was for the better My momma didn't raise her boy to crumble under pressure She always used to say when it rains it pours So bundle up and get your ass prepared for the weather I'm, far from my prime But an artist so it makes sense I'm putting everything on the line Silver lining I know things could be a lot worse Could be curse with my last ride in the black hearse So I guess I'll make it work Work, work work So I guess I'll make it, make it So I guess I'll make it work 2017 was a year of change I feel 2018 is about to be the same I got married, sold out my first show Headlined my first tour But still got a ways to go Life is coming fast but the money's coming slow And labels mainly judge me by how many follow I built my own team, who all have the same dream To live a life doing what they love for the cream And finally getting recognition on the local scene Success has got me itching for it daily like a phene Learned more about myself in the last year Than all the other 27, I could lose it any second All of my passive aggression, porn addiction adolescence There's a God but I have questions, Time to get back to my essence Build it block by block I used to suck at Tetris I studied the game and analyzed all the metrics Everything that you have could be gone in a second You've been gifted this moment so please enjoy the present I wrote a few goals down that I intend to reach A wise man learns more than he intends to teach Bout to pack it all up and move to LA By this time next year I may be speaking to you from a beach And I'm so grateful for this Georgia peach You gave a thriving environment and showed me nothing's out of reach Built relationships I couldn't put a price on Now I'm turning a new chapter until my happy ever after Thinking bout my legacy, but don't know what's ahead of me And still got a lot of things weighing on me heavily I want to leave the idea that you can be whatever You wish to be and get your shit together Pray for a nigga while I'm still trying to grow And if you ever need me just know There are times when you'll need someone I will be by your side There is a light that shines Special for you, and me
