This is the best time in your life Your brain is still really good You'll come up with some fantastic ideas, okay? You still have, How old are you, 25? Yeah, this is one of the best times of your life What were you doing? When I was 25 I went bankrupt So I was supposed to have lost my job So to save my job, Bank In order to save it I had to go the university of Illinois in Chicago Tell your mother Give her some hugs and kisses Tell her this is from Rhonda Tell her this is from Rhonda That's what happens you know Put someone in a situation Teach them negative things Say bad things That's how they come up Give them the opposite Put them in a situation and say She can't see She can't hear She doesn't have a left arm But she is the same as you We are That's how you come up That's what you exposed to Then that's what you become At a very young age There's no difference You're just a kid Just like me We can tell jokes and make funny faces You know and do all the silly things that children do And have fun You're taught at a very young age Positive things like that You will be like that for the rest of your life Advice too This trip has been difficult I sold a lot of my stuff to get out here And as soon as I moved out here My debit card was stolen And all the money from my bank was drained And I'm like "I have no money and a very limited support network around here" They would have found the person that did it Exactly And put them in jail And you would have had your money Winning I went through identity theft They had some information from me and bought some brand new men's suits Best time of your life What were you doing at my age? I'm a retired teacher So when I was 25 I was filling out my application for work What did you study? I was a high school English teacher at the time when I first started The school went bankrupt So I was supposed to have lost my job but the principal of the school remembered me Because I was a student of theirs So he saved my job So In order to save it I had to go the university of Illinois in Chicago Applied to a graduate program and got in You did special ed? Yes That's what my mom did It was a gift But that's what I did I took to the hard of hearing and the deaf So when I was 25 Going into 25 That's when i started at the school Love it I had to borrow money from her to get by That's why i haven't jumped into graduate school I don't feel financially stable enough to do it See I didn't have a choice That was my career Not just a job but a career You know I had to do it you know So were you still working while you were studying? Yeah I had to do all of that Teacher during the day Going to school during the evening Love it Yeah my mom has driven Almost my entire childhood She left her like corporate job at apple Oh wow And she started driving a special needs bus My parents are divorced so she raised me herself Okay So she needed to be around the house as much as possible And having a school bus route That had some breaks during the day Was the best that they could come up with so Yeah so I drove on short buses with her all the time Sitting with the children Making the best of friends with them I just know I know special needs kids I know blind deaf and ahh I love it I feel privileged to have gotten that experience so young Right, and you know what? That makes you a better person By your mother exposing you to those people Certainly And learning how to be just as nice to them as you are to anybody That's what makes you a good person Empathy That's it And I didn't see the difference between people It wasn't like this category of people It wasn't like special needs If you teach a person at a very young age It builds character then They don't have the meanest in them It's an attitude You know That's a learned thing to look down at people And have those kind of negative attitudes A child doesn't come into this world like that So if your mother put you on that bus with those kids At a very young age and you learn how to treat those kids You know they're just like anybody else That's, It builds character That brings out the best in you know Definitely, I appreciate it a lot And you are for all intents and purposes a good person Well thanks Rhonda, You're not so bad yourself Thank you Darling That's what happens you know Put someone in a situation Teach them negative things Say bad things That's how they come up Give them the opposite Put them in a situation and say She can't see She can't hear She doesn't have a left arm But she is the same as you We are That's how you come up That's what you exposed to Then that's what you become At a very young age There's no difference You're just a kid Just like me We can tell jokes and you know Make funny faces You know and do all the silly things that children do And have fun Totally and like you were saying too The older you get, your brain is a little bit different It's harder to change those habits that you were taught Right, So if you're taught at a very very young age Types of things like that You'll be that way for the rest of your life Forever I don't have to unlearn any bad shit This is it because you know It is the truth You know how I feel about a lie and the truth You have to remember a lie but you don't have to remember the truth Honesty You don't have to remember goodness When you see your mother Just give her some hugs and kisses and tell her this is from Rhonda Tell her this is from Rhonda A retired special needs teacher I totally will Tell her that I turned out to be a wonderful person All I needed was some money Hahaha She's certainly helped me with her meager funds To like... This trip has been difficult I sold a lot of my stuff to get out here And as soon as I moved out here My debit card was stolen And all the money from my bank was drained And I'm like "I have no money and a very limited support network around here" It got fixed so I'm okay But it was a month of hassle and just sending in this and that Baby, they would have found the person that did that Put them in jail You would have gotten your money Yeah Yes
