Dad's an alcoholic, mom's a drug addict It all started when dad has two jobs, working full-time But still, could not make ends meet for his family 'Cause he wants mom to stay at home, taking care of me Do not want mom and I to see his frustration with work So dad hides it at the bar after getting off work That's how he turns to alcohol, becomes friend with it One night, come home from bar drunk, then all hell breaks loose Mom asks dad, why you are home so late He gets mad, knock her out unconsciously Lock up in prison for domestic violence Mom takes Tylenol and Advil for concussion Migraine is so bad, start abusing medications That's when I realize she becomes a slave to them I told her to seek help, she agrees to do so Went to rehab, so she could be a better mom Wish we never met So we can move on from the past Wish we never met So we can hope for a better future Wish we never met So we can move on from the past Wish we never met So we can hope for a better future In the meantime, I move from one foster home to another Like a used item for a family to rent There are nights, water is the only thing I have for dinner Like a plant for someone to water it to stay alive Mom, dad, wish I never met you guys So I can spend more time with, had I have a different mother and father Wish I never met you mom, dad So you guys do not have to stay together when things go south Dad, wish you never met mom and I So you would not end up behind bars for years Mom, wish you never met dad and I So you would not send to rehab for months My parents, I may not say love or care to you guys in person But deep down, both of you hold a dear place in my heart When I'm finally able to express these things in words God takes mom and dad to heaven with him yesterday Wish we never met So we can move on from the past Wish we never met So we can hope for a better future Wish we never met So we can move on from the past Wish we never met So we can hope for a better future Wish we never met, never met Wish we Wish we never met, never met Wish we
