20 Minute Crash

In 1996, Page ran an ad in a local entertainment circular under the heading musicians wanted. After several meetings and try-outs with other established bands, he chose to start fresh and signed on with Zakk and Adam and two friends who responded to the ad and went to high school together in a small town in the northeast part of the state. Adam was an accomplished bass player, while Zakk's passion was the guitar. The two had moved to Norman to attend the University of Oklahoma while pursuing their dreams of superstardom. The three of them got together with a drummer and started making music. As time went on, the band evolved. They rehearsed and rehearsed, developing their own sound and style. The band also went through a slew of drummers. What is it with drummers, and why is it so freakin’ hard to find a descent one? Sorry. I get a little carried away sometimes. Anyway, Zakk, Adam and Page all brought plenty of their own musical tastes to the table, and the result is a down-home modern rock sound that finds itself a niche of its own in the rock genre. Their songs are very guitar driven, lyrically sound and built to be enjoyed by everyone from the hardest of hard-rockers to the most alternative of tastes. A few years passed, as did several more drummers, and the boys finally found the missing piece of the puzzle in Nathan. His hard-hitting style of banging the skins turned out to be the foundation the group had been looking for, for so long. Voila - 20 Minute Crash was born. They could finally press on with the business at hand of becoming rock icons (you didn’t think they were in this for the love of music did you?) They wrote song after song, and soon were out playing and packing all the local venues they could book. A small following soon grew into a huge fan base, and the boys answered the fan’s cries with the release of Girlo & Moo, a six song EP recorded in Norman at Chainsaw Kittens guitarist Trent Bell’s studio ñ Bell Labs. Trent also lent a hand as co-producer, along with the boys in the band. Today, 20 Minute Crash continues to play live and fill venues every chance they get. Live shows are, and have always been the band’s forte. Ask anyone who’s ever been a part of a 20 Minute Crash live show and they will gladly attest to the power and energy that Page, Adam, Nate and Zakk bring to their live performances.
