ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Alfonzo Udell’s upcoming recording project “It’s Not Over,” is truly a masterful blend that will inspire everyone! His songs, bridge the gap of traditional and contemporary Gospel music. They are soulfully sung by Chosen Chorale; a Columbia-based group that he established in 2011. Each song, written by Alfonzo has a message of hope and assurance. Alfonzo’s musical journey started at the age of 5, when his grandmother sat him on an old upright piano and said, “Play boy.” He soon began to play the piano alongside television jingles, and the next thing you know he was playing all of the instruments in his elementary school band. Alfonzo went on to study music at Five Towns College, and psychology as well as political science at the College of New Rochelle. He has also studied pastoral counseling at the Community Bible Institute. While growing up in Brooklyn, Alfonzo began to administrate, organize and become involved with many community events and always found himself in some type of leadership capacity. The Late Bishop Preston Toogood said, “He’s a born leader.” Alfonzo began to play organ at various churches, teach and train choirs and perform ministry and musical workshops. He has won several music awards. He would eventually be called to pastor the High Times Christian Fellowship of Brooklyn in 1989. Since then, he has pastored in Harlem, Newark, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Bishopville, Sumter, and overseen churches in Trinidad and Lagos. He has also served in the; Deliverance Evangelistic Centers, COGIC, House of God, National Fellowship Council of Churches, and the Jesus Saves Ministry to name a few. In 1993, Alfonzo Udell was consecrated to the office of Bishop and Apostle. He has hosted several radio and television programs and produced 2 Off-Broadway Gospel stage plays. He currently serves as pastor of the High Times Christian Fellowship and Minister of Music at Zion Chapel BC #1, both in Columbia. Alfonzo Udell has been given a tremendous vision of music and ministry, to impact humanity wherever the opportunity affords.
