In late 1994, renowned Spanish deejay-producers Dimas Carbajo & J.J. De La Fuente from Madrid, created this contagious pop-trance remix of Ithaka's eternal 1992 down-tempo song, "So Get Up". ITHAKA: aka Ithaka Darin Pappas, is a Californian lyricist/vocalist (also sculptor and photographer) of Greek descent who, although identifying primarily as a hip hop artist, has recorded songs using a wide spectrum of other musical styles including; tech house, punk rock and folk music. His eternal 1992 spoken-word downtempo track "So Get Up" has been reworked by top electronic artists including Fatboy Slim, U.S.L., Cosmic Gate etc, etc, etc. Over the last three decades it has become one of the most identifiable EDM anthems on the planet. With more than a thousand remixes in existence, it is literally The Most Remixed Acappella in musical history. His 1995 song, Escape From The City Of Angels (featuring Marta Dias) appeared in Columbia Pictures' action film, The Replacement Killers directed by Antoine Fuqua. Other Ithaka tracks have appeared in X-Box 360 games produced by 2K Sports and several surfing films.
