Hamilton, Ontario born artist Dre Pao was discovered in 2012 by Spanish recording artist Xuso Jones (Universal Music Spain) while playing on a beach in the south of Spain. Dre's debut singles "WithoutChya" and "MidNight" both recorded over 1 million views online and accumulated radio play across Canada. Dre notably won the 2015 Juno songwriting competition as a co-writer of the People’s Choice winning song “Turn it On”. He is known for his podcast “Real Talk with Dre Pao”, which has featured artists such as Monster Truck, Arkells, Billy Talent, and many more. Dre’s vlog “Real Talk TV” showcases another side of his personality, chatting with influential figures outside of music, such as NHL hockey player Zac Rinaldo and Green Party Leader Michael Schreiner. Dre is a proud member of Hamilton’s Music Industry Working Committee where he actively organizes music education panels for young artists and speaks at local schools.
