Emily Hatton, Melbourne-born country Singer-Songwriter, brings fire and an energy to her performances that few emerging artists can replicate. Seamlessly blending country and pop stylings, her energetic presence delivers catchy hooks coupled with authentic, personal stories. Hatton is a dedicated songwriter with great emotional range. She crafts her music from places of strength to vulnerability, but all the time with heartfelt, true-to-life experience woven in to complete the storytelling. Before the health restrictions crippled any touring plans for 2020, Emily toured with QLD country-rock group ‘Eight Second Ride’ playing to near sellout crowds across a dozen locations. Hatton had planned to tour regionally throughout 2020 to share her recent single releases with new audiences. COVID-19 put a stop to this, but she is making firm plans to hit the road again in 2021. On the single front 2020 was a consistent release year for Hatton, with two quality tracks hitting the airwaves since January. The first of these entitled ‘Maybe’, featuring award-winning country star Troy Kemp which hit #1 on community radio charts. Building on the success of ‘Maybe’, Hatton took her career to a new high with the single ‘Why’d You Have To?’ released on September 14, 2020. The track provided Emily with her first iTunes #1 single, as well as landing at #2 on the AMRAP charts and earned a premiere on Kix Country radio. The track also gained international recognition when it placed Runner-Up in the SongTuner’s Songwriting Competition.
