Geveva 'Climbing the Mountain' Reviewed by Metal Post. This EP stands easily amongst the top 10 post NWoBHM records. The album is a session from the legendary Tommy Vance Radio 1 Rock Show which was recorded at the world famous BBC Maida Vale Studios. The Legacy Over 25 years ago and counting, 5 lads (Jock,Don,Rich,Mick & Ady)from Nottingham UK formed the original rock band “Geneva”. In the late 1980’s there were probably no bands working harder than Geneva – a constant stream of song writing, rehearsals, headline and support gigs (Saxon, Romeo’s Daughter, Lawnmower Deth) and many studio recordings including a session for the legendary Tommy Vance Radio 1 Rock Show which was recorded at the world famous BBC Maida Vale recording studios. From this session the EP 'Climbing the Mountain' was released. This dedication and tenacity meant that the band had established a good loyal fan base (known as "The Convention") and had earned their position in the UK rock scene.The band have now reformed under the new name of 'Parnham'. The original name couldn't be used for legal reasons (long story).
