Ithaka, aka Ithaka Darin Pappas, is a Californian lyricist/vocalist (also sculptor and photographer) of Greek descent who, although identifying primarily as a hip hop artist, has recorded songs using a wide spectrum of other musical styles including; tech house, punk rock and folk music. His eternal 1992 spoken-word downtempo track "So Get Up" has been reworked by top electronic artists including Fatboy Slim, U.S.L., Cosmic Gate etc, etc, etc. Over the last three decades it has become one of the most identifiable EDM anthems on the planet. With more than a thousand remixes in existence, it is literally The Most Remixed Acappella in musical history. His 1995 song, Escape From The City Of Angels (featuring Marta Dias) appeared in Columbia Pictures' action film, The Replacement Killers directed by Antoine Fuqua. Other Ithaka tracks have appeared in X-Box 360 games produced by 2K Sports as well as in several surfing films. Thalma de Freitas is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist, Grammy nominated singer-songwriter of samba-jazz and afro-brazilian folk music. She is a household name in the Brazilian contemporary culture. Thalma de Freitas participated (as a singer) on a handful of tracks from Ithaka's 2004 album Recorded In Rio recorded in Brazil, produced by Berna Ceppas and Ithaka. These songs include, "In Portugal, "The Bus Song 2004", "Muerto Escondido" and "Sleeping In The Shade".
