JAY ARMSTRONG Christened Adeoye Adesanya, international Chicago based artist “Jay Armstrong” was born, raised and trained in one of the world’s most populous city – Lagos, Nigeria. He has always being a music lover and started doing music at a very young age, mostly in the churches; singing and directing music. Growing up, Adeoye continued to nurse his interest in music, learning new skills and developing himself in many music-related ways. He noticed that he has been blessed with a unique soft tone, which commands attention and births emotions from the audience. The eccentric music art belongs to a fast-rising popular gospel group in Chicago called Efe Lucky and the Unrestricted, with whom he has been privileged to minister in America’s third-largest church – Willowcreek community church. Armstrong’s music style is practically more of soul and R&B, and are centered on three themes; God, Love, and Life! He believes with music he can speak more to motivate, uplift and give hope to the disheartened, low-spirited and hopeless. He has had some amazing combos, singing alongside popular Nigerian artists both home and abroad including but not limited to Tim Godfrey, Efe Nathan, and Jumbo Ane. Jay Armstrong is indeed one of today’s amazing and blessed voices.
