Marc Lavoine est né le 6 août 1962 à Longjumeau en région parisienne. Il commence à écrire des chansons à l'adolescence mais c'est le métier d'acteur qui le Passionne le plus. Il s'engage alors dans une troupe amateur à Paris. Après un premier single en 83, c'est en fait le suivant, « Pour une biguine avec toi », qui le fera connaître. S'en suit le tube « Elle a les yeux Revolver », et c'est en 85 que sort son premier album « Marc Lavoine ».
