Noel Flynn grew up loving country music. The Athboy native, who lived in Nottingham for a number of years before returning to Meath, spent four years as a DJ prior to recording his debut album. Noel started singing professionally around 2006. His first album, Turn Back the Years, was released in December 2009. A nice blend of Irish and American country, it features songs as diverse as the Johnny McEvoy classic, Long Before Your Time, to Colin Raye’s Love Me and from the traditional folk song Hard Times to the Ernest Tubb number,
