Born Matthew O’Ryan Clark III, “Orion the Third” is an artist that uses vulnerable and transparent lyrics to relate to audiences of all ages and backgrounds that miss true artistry. His music answers critics that are distraught by the lack of meaning in today’s music by describing the very essence of human nature and our various emotional experiences (broken families, addiction, loss, survival, grief, heartache, death, neglect abuse, energy, forgiveness, empathy, power of positivity, and manifesting universal laws). This versatile approach is unheard of in today’s music; making Orion’s potential to reach a vast audience for generations to come. His music not only appeals to Hip-Hop fans; but anyone who has wishes to feel real and raw emotion in music again. His lyrical versatility sends meditative vibes through instrumentals influenced by the Blues, Jazz, 90’s hip-hop, Soul, Opera, Trap, etc. Biography: The past two years of my allegory was spent in an endless pursuit for self actualization. I periodically found myself in spiraling peaks and valleys. True courage is dispensed when shadowing mountains are turned into pebbles to overshadow and walk over. I remember being elated during my college graduation. I could finally provide for my family working a job where I taught doctors and nurses process improvement strategies. I had a C250 Mercedes, crib with a lake view, however I felt incomplete. It took quitting that job, risking all security, ending up broke and homeless to realize materials and societal standards don't define me. My dream became a nightmare as I stared into an abyss of disaster. The continued support of my close family and friends, in addition to writing, allowed me to find healing through music. Through transparent and vulnerable music, I found healing through relatablility. ​ Struggle shows what you're really about. Mine taught me light at the end of the tunnel is within..Stars can't shine without darkness. We take our first and last breath..if you really want success, you have to push like a woman in labor. Music has always been an integral part of his life, with musical influences ranging from Tupac Shakur, Mos Def, A Tribe Called Quest, The Eagles, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marvin Gaye, Sam Cooke, Al Green, etc. However, his interest to pursue music stemmed from Kanye West.
