Shane has been writing and performing his original music with his band for years, but recent tragedy in his personal life has brought focus to his solo work. A cathartic experience for him has produced a body of work in which his listener will find deep connection and truth. “In Light” charted at #5 on the GooglePlay Folk chart with the single “Shape of Me” receiving regular play on CBC’s Fresh Air. Originally from Orillia, ON, Shane is now based in Collingwood where he has written and recorded his second solo album. Known as the “badass of acoustic” for his mesmerizing guitar work, Shane is the only Canadian artist to be sponsored by the Ibanez acoustic range. Shane’s ethereal and sensual sound finds hints of his heavy metal influences but, ultimately, he is a story teller with emotion and sensitivity borne of insight and experience.
