Soloist Jason Hamilton took an early liking to music, starting with classical music and the cello at age 9. He quickly fell in love with musical study and composition, and after teachers pointed out that he had a natural disposition for learning instruments, he decided to expand into as many instruments and genres as he could. Over the next 25 years he would study jazz, latin, flamenco, rock and funk. He found a lot of freedom in the improvisational nature of jazz, but loved the energy and beauty of latin, and the power of rock. Jason added the alto, tenor, soprano, and baritone saxophone, clarinet, piano, drums, guitar, bass, and hand percussion to his repertoire so he could make full albums in his free time. He is currently working on a series of albums that will explore and combine various genres, ranging from metal to flamenco. While he has joined bands off and on as a side hobby, he was never able to put together a lineup suitable for his solo compositions. This ultimately led him to learning studio mixing and mastering so he could track entire compositions by himself, one instrument at a time, and be able to share the finished creations with the community at large.
