Tracy Flor Yassa is a Congolese gospel artist currently residing in the city of Johannesburg in the Republic of South Africa. She was born in Kinshasa, the capital city of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), on the 4th of August from a family of 7, two boys and 5 girls. Being the 6th child of 7 children of Dr Pierre and Aimee Yassa, Tracy always knew that she had a passion for music as she grew up in a close-knit musical family. For Tracy, it all began in her hometown, where she functioned as the worship leader of an informal family group. In 2010, motivated by her grandmother, she joined her first church choir singing as her back up singer in the local assembly where she got baptized. She faithfully learned her talents and gained formal experienced before an unforeseen relocation to Johannesburg happened in 2013. Whilst in Johannesburg, she joined another church Choir in a local Ministry where most of her tenure entailed leading worship weekly and managing various aspects of the worship department. Tracy Yassa has performed in various churches, youth events and concerts alongside various artists. Her style of music coupled with her amazing vocals, attracted a team of people who decided to work with her in recording her music. She recently released her debut single, titled “CLOSER” on the 26th of July 2019 and is also working on her Album, “Closer”, which will soon be available.
