Varte band

Varte (in Persian: ورطه) is an Iranian Oriental Progressive Metal band formed in 2014. We started as a Rock band and tried to have a unique musical style using folkloric sound and color infused with rock and occasionally metal style. As continued, we tried to add narrative themes to our music which led us towards Middle-Eastern folkloric themes as well as our music. So history, mythology, and legends played the main roles as themes for our lyrics, tone and genre. We released our first album nationally and then worldwide named The Inscribed Tale in the year 2017 through the German label Blue Flame Records. We tried to introduce our own style which is rooted in our culture, history and folkloric stories with the album. We want to tell stories about the adventurous tales we have in this old and mysterious side of the world rather being a part of our actual history or may-never-happened legends and take you to a journey through the time and place using a real time machine called music!
