Waving at Strangers was a pop-punk/rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia in 2003 by singer and rhythm guitarist Clay Jenkins, lead guitarist Brian Irby, bassist Jason Carter, and drummer Clint Taylor. The band released 2 albums with the original lineup, Recommended by God (2003) and Aimeeland (2004). Jenkins left the band in 2004 and was replaced by Dustin Barclay on vocals and Ian Campbell on guitar. Irby left the band in 2005 and Barclay took over guitar. W@S released In Your Wake (2005). Taylor left the band in 2005 and was replaced by Wes Barclay temporarily and then Billy Flood on drums. The band dissolved in 2006.
