My beautiful Diana died of COVID, age 45 in January 2022. She loved Blue October, been to several of their shows, and saw Justin solo concert. Diana was deeply depressed for many years, and found solace in Blue October songs, Breaking Benjamin, and Disturbed. I'm sure there are more, no doubt, but thru all her pain, the struggles in life, these bands drowned out the dark evil spirits that was trying to take over her mind, spirit and soul. She fought these gruesome head games til the very end. I pray for all who suffer from this haunting disease. Diana use to say, 'Mama, they're the lucky ones'. more »

Hi, Diana Mom again. I made a mistake by name. His name is David, not Justin, who is another incredible band that my daughter loved, Blue October, one of her favorite songs was 'Hate Me', she had their bumper sticker on her jeep, and I'm pretty sure a tattoo also. So sad that I am learning these things thru darkness from her death. more »

Again, I am learning a little too late, as a mother who had a beautiful daughter that struggled with deep depression, I had NO idea what the true meaning of this song was about, until her death at 45, due to COVID in January 2022. She's been thru thick and thin with doctors to no avail. She had this bloody-arrows tattooed on her left chest like Justin's. Diana felt his pain thru his addiction. My daughter Diana had 'Dear Agony just let go of me suffer slowly' tattooed on her wrist. She loved Breaking Benjamin. Her depression was so bad. I never read those lyrics til recently. She fought til the end. My God I had no idea of her pain. Diana had such an incredible soul. She prayed for the homeless, the sick, the lost, the lonely, the weak, the addicts...She died at 45 January 2022 from COVID. more »
