I never thought that I'd get older
Things on TV never seem to age
You stay inside and push through the boredom
Or step out and spend everything that you've saved
The sun comes high and hot as blazes
Sit by the air conditioner all day
Till the mid summer storms
They come rolling in
And complain that I'm pale while I sit in their shade
It's something that I never could pinpoint
Feels like someone is pulling my leg
Spinning in circles
Running from something
The clock ticks to the beat
Of my step
Picked up a bunch of canned air containers
See if I can force the seasons to change
And really I'm doing everybody a favor
So no one can point back to me for the blame
And it's that finger pointing I find peculiar
How we rush to point out other's mistakes
And I'm not saying that I'm better at judgement
I just don't get in positions to need self restraint
It's something that I never could pinpoint
