Sam walked down to the corner store, as usual, one day Saw as man who wasn't there, they talked, and he did say Hey there, what's your name I'll tell you mine right quick, Sam answered the man and he asked her to play a lick He said, This is making me hungry, got a dollar to spare And from out of the blue he yells, I'm the Devil and I'll make you care Sam blinked her eyes and turned quick with shock and dismay Then the Devil spun her back around to repeat another day Sam shoots from her bed, a winged beast by her side Screams and tries to fight it, knowing it would be demised It talked back at her and told her in a garbled voice, Don't be shy That the River Styx was mirrored and she would soon die Looks out her window and the man is standing there She sees that it's the Devil now, now it's more than clear She bolts from her bed, demon flying from behind Grabs the water from the fridge and grabs one of the big knives Leaping from her front porch step, she stabs him in the eye She killed that son-of-a-bitch and then she lost her mind Sam thought the Devil was a man, but seen in his eyes That woman was the Devil dressed up in a Sam disguise The man shook and laughed, and he fell to his knees Then he looked up to Sam with a beg and a plead Sam finally drops her knife and runs Now she knew how she had finally come undone
