I fought depression
And depression fought me several times
My mental health was a struggle
My balance was in trouble
To make it worse I was living in a bubble
Recovering from a breakup
And living in a hotel you can't make this up
I felt like I had no purpose
My heart lived on the surface
And it showed my pain
And I was feeling so worthless
Wherever I went
It felt like they were just laughing at me
Pointing their fingers at me
Judging me and crucifying me
But then I heard my granny say

I think I'm getting better day by day
Until covid hit me
And I couldn't find the words to say
Because I literally couldn't breathe
And all I could think about was her in my memory
I really wanted her here to hold my hand

But see my mental is fading
My health is on retreat
I don't know what to do
But I gotta get back to where I need to be
