It's a difficult subject for folks to talk about

You can miss me with all of that organized religion
Had a vision in prison where everybody finds the Lord
It was then I realized that it was only for the board
And most only prayed when it was time to go to court
Something bout seeing that really struck a chord
Cause It isn't only jail you can see it in the street
Got people raising hell like six days a week
Then sittin' on the sabbath in a local church seat where
Folks just take the opportunity to sleep

Now I ain't sayin that its bad it just isn't for me
And I ain't tryin to talk down on what others believe
Cause one man's doubt is another man's belief
So who am I to sit around and talk about these kinda things

Prayin' in a mosque or prayin' in a chapel
It doesn't matter to me cause I'm never gonna ask you
Cause that's between you and whatever you call master
You can call me agnostic but it ain't quite right
I was raised Pentecostal and I practiced most my life
But all that changed the more I learned about Christ
Made me reevaluate the way I see the divine
See my walk is mine and your walk is yours
And there's no need for us to keep fightin' ugly wars
Its ok if you and I share the same course
Even if were both ridin' on a different horse

At the end of the day were all in this together
And these flesh vessels weren't meant to live forever
So Imma use my time alive to go the extra measure
And make the world around me just a little bit better
I ain't trying to be clever or preach to the choir
I don't have an agenda that's evil inspired
You can light up a candle and chant around the fire
Or dance into the night to your little heart's desire
Some call me a heathen others say that I'm crazy
Either way I'm exactly how the maker made me
You can see em in the wide eyed smiles of a baby
Or watch em in the eyes of a soul when it's fadin'
So maybe I don't make it to that pearly gate
And if I don't that's ok I'll accept my fate
Cause no one knows what's gonna happen when we pass away
So Imma live in the moment like all I have is today
