Jack Mudurian

Jack Mudurian was an American novelty singer. Mudurian was a resident of Duplex Nursing Home in Boston, Massachusetts. In 1981, an employee named David Greenberger overheard Mudurian singing at a home talent show, and when Greenberger spoke to him about it, Mudurian boasted that he could sing as many songs as Frank Sinatra. Greenberger brought in a cassette tape recorder and asked him to sing; Mudurian proceeded to sing 129 songs, many from the Tin Pan Alley repertory (and several more than once), continuously over the next 47 minutes. The recording was issued as Downloading the Repertoire on Arf Arf Records in 1996, and it became a cult novelty hit; a shortened version appeared on Irwin Chusid's compilation of outsider music called Songs in the Key of Z, Vol… more »

For it's only a paper moon
Sailing over a cardboard sky
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me without your love
It's a honky-tonk parade without your love
It's a melody played in a penny arcade
It's a Barnum and Bailey world
Just as phony as it can be
But it wouldn't be make-believe
If you believed in me

So, put another nickel in in the nickelodeon
All I want is loving you
And music, music, music closer
My dear, come closer la la la la la la la
Is when you're dancing close to me

Takе me out to the ball game
Oh, takе me out to the back
Oh, buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jacks

Let me root, root, root for the whole team
And it's a shame they don't win
Oh'ts a one, or two
Or three strikes you're out
At the old ball game

Some Sunday morning is going to be
Oh, some Sunday morning for someone and me
Bells will be chiming an old melody
Oh, some Sunday morning, someone and me

Any bonds today?
Oh, bonds of freedom, oh, bonds of freedom
Any bonds today? La la la la la lee
Lee lee lee lee lee lee la
Asking you to buy a share of
Freedom today day day day

Let me see, now

From this valley they say you are leaving
We will miss your bright eyes and sweet smile
(whistling)
For they say you are taking the sunshine
That has brightened our pathway a while
Now, come and sit by my side, little darling
Do not hasten to bid me adieu
Just remember the Red River Valley
(clears throat)
And the boy that has loved you so true

My Bonnie lies over the ocean
My Bonnie lies over the sea
My Bonnie lies over the ocean
Oh, bring back my Bonnie to me
Oh, bring back, oh, bring back, oh
Bring back my Bonnie to me, to me
Oh, bring back, oh, bring back, oh
Bring back my Bonnie to me
My Bonnie has tuberculosis
My Bonnie has only one lung
My Bonnie can cough up raw oysters
And roll them around on her tongue
Oh, bring back, oh, bring back, oh
Bring back my Bonnie to me, to me
Oh, bring back, oh, bring back, oh
Bring back my Bonnie to me

The pony run, he jump, he pitch
He tumble master in the ditch
The pony, being rather shy
When bitten by the blue tail fly
Oh, Jimmy crack corn and I don't care
Oh, Jimmy crack corn and I don't care
Oh, Jimmy crack corn and I don't care
Oh, my master's here to stay

Let me see now, wait a
Minute, what's the other one, oh yeah-

From- from the Great Atlantic Ocean
To the wide Pacific shore
From the queen of flowing mountains
To the south belt by the shore
She's mighty tall and handsome
And known quite well by all
She's the combination
Called the Wabash Cannonball
Oh, here's to Daddy Claxton
May his name forever stand
And always be remembered
'Round the courts of Alabam
His earthly race is over
And the curtains 'round him fall
We'll carry him home to vic'try
On the Wabash Cannonball

Oh, I wonder who's kissing her now
Oh, I wonder who's kissing her now
Oh, I wonder who's looking into her eyes
Breathing sighs and telling lies?
I wonder who's kissing her now
Ooh, I wonder who's kissing her now
La la la la la la la la la lee
Oh, I wonder who's kissing her now
