Taught me how to live a life of faith cuz God is always watching
Gave me the best childhood you possibly could
And when it comes to raising kids, imma take one out your book
You and dad sacrificed so much so I could go to school

To my dad, you make us laugh, probably when we need it most
Always there to help, showed me how to stand up for myself
I hate confrontations but if it wasn't for him I wouldn't know how
You taught me how to raise a family, how to get food in their mouth
To take care of a car and how to throw a ball and
To be a good person in all that you're involved in
To be a good worker, you taught me discipline, dad
I love you, know I'm grateful, wouldn't be here if you had not been

You were the first person I met in middle school, thinking back
