Far away, across the sea
Another mind is on its knees
It wishes for more time
That it certainly won't find
Its body matters not
For trapped within its thoughts
Is the desperate cling
To even feel the icy sting

Surrounded by white
It sees the fabled light
Its icy heart is frozen
And like a metal with corrosion
Its thoughts all turn to rust
The mind left in the dust
Another tragic tale
Of time's inevitable prevail

The bones in the snow
Would love it just to know
Perhaps it's not too late
To defy its final fate
Remember the words it said
Spread the story of this head
For long after it is gone
The storm will rage on

Way back home
Toppled plants and garden gnomes
But no one knows
The cause of which
This poor soul was stolen with
It leaves an itch
A story to be told
A warning black and bold
But even the examiner
Knows the storm's perimeter
Is getting close
Just as the storm was this body's host
From when it was in form of snow to the tornado
It made a thousand days go by
With little regard of the time, the place,
The repercussions, the probable waste,
The lost potential, the unknown fate,
The stolen love, the prevented hate,
The needless judgment, the rightful wrongdoing,
The petty qualms, the purchases
The changes, the range of emotions,
The family, the friends,
The earth, the oceans,
The tied-up knots, the loose ends
Without regard, it comes to an end
We knew what it was going to do
