But I decided to play the secret Santa game
I was just hired at the place I work
And I didn't want them to think I was a jerk
I was told to buy gifts my pick would like
To stay away from things that were junk or trite
I did my best to follow all the rules
But my secret Santa had other views

Secret Santa treat me nice and fair
Be generous be kind beyond compare
Don't give me stuff that I will never use
Something real cool to melt away the winter blues

The first morning came and right there on my chair
I found an empty bag of woman's underwear
It had to be some kind of stupid joke
Some other guy giving me a poke
The second morning came in my mail slot
Another empty package was what I got
It appeared to be an empty stocking bag
Someone's playing me a great big gag

Why should I keep on buying gifts
That gives my co-worker a great big lift
I'm spending money left and right
I should be happy but I'm ready to fight

The next week came and things only got worse
I got an empty box for dress and a box for a purse
There were many empty boxes placed here and there
For make up, jewelry it wasn't fair
I had enough by the very last day
And I practiced what I was going to say
Until I saw this babe decked out waiting for me
With a sign that said I'm your gift and I'm ready
