She foretold our dying a little with each chide
Clinging to our truths and pride blaming always the other side
Squabbling and squandering hope the precious gift
Soon we would be raging falling from the cliffs into the great rift
A waste of want and longing where scars would never heal
Righteously anointed now justified to kill

She said calloused are the many caring are the few
You humans just keep doing what you humans always do

A hint of Blue whispered appearing on the sky
Was this yet another muse sent to help me help me answer why
She told of love at odds with hate we'd always done this dance
Raised her hand and pointed across the great expanse come we'll take a  chance
She said that we were better off that we had often been
If we gave up on the gift we'd only be our sins

She said truth and light await you but you'll have to choose
To listen to your better or your worse human muse
