They came from every corner of this great country
The heroes risking life and limb in black January
This time their was no war to fight no guns to take up aim
Just hoses filled with water  for the heroes of the flame

An enemy so awesome our heroes were to face
When New South Wales was burning the flames they had to race
The volunteers the servicemen working side by side
Fighting every outbreak like a roller coaster ride
