We sit saturated
Inhale poisonous air
Breathe it into our children
Like it's mother's milk
We move through its thick oozing
Whispering of old lies as promise
For some kind of thing called tomorrow
In the meantime we get "privileges"
But more on that later...
And so we offer this holy ghost
Our sanctity of Belief
Open our mouths wide
In some twisted morbidity of consent
A Requiem
For a life as the living dead
We let the koolaid of oblivion
Cascade down our throats
A hazing
Unconscious baptism
Into blessed secret society
As we surrender our very lives
The lives of our children
Our heirs
Our legacy
Signing our names in blood
Pledging our undying allegiance
We kiss the ring on the left hand
Look close
See the ritual....
As they hack our collective sacred nature
Exploit our innate reverence
Our experience of vast Love
A bait and switch as exchange
For a plastic reality only fit for the barely living
They drench us from the inside out
Create the conditions
For exhaustion
Distraction
Narcissism
Pain so great we push ourSelves away
Then came the mythology of our brokenness
And the perverted commoditization of our pain
And we move as a warped
hummmm…
Of collective contempt
continues to envelop us as culture
Our keen Eye muted
We turn on eachother
Rabid in our empty
We Seek feeling
Desperate
And drink from the goblets
Of their contrived substitutions
Guilt
Shame
Blame
Everyone of us has story here
Though it looks different
In the locations they assign...
These fucking "they's"
The violent silence is deafening
As we move withdrawn
In illusion of detachment from eachother
Consciousness wandered
From the voluptuous sentience
Coursing through the everything
And "they" bribe us
Into complicit complacency
Blood dripping from our eyes
As tears
Chests cave
Throats ache
Hands out stretched
For some new shiny thing
Built by the unseen
As our tires tread over their bones
Wipe tears away
Blurred bloody sight
Just look the other way
"They" colonize the way we love
The Sacred space of our relationships
And the mythology of hierarchy
Subtly winds through our entire
They plant the seeds for mistrust
Like COINTELPRO
Then nurture "their" creation
Like malignant gods
Bloody eyed and bribed
We be all to willing
Forgotten to our accountability
We pay steep price
We be looking at each other y'all
This "it"
Them "theys"
Some kind of hierarchical ether
A pseudo holy trinity
Patriarchy is the contract
A hierarchy as walking death
And as we worship
We imbue it with
Our Sacred Power
It comes for everyone
As we continue
To turn on each other
Like beaten rabid dogs
