Wind takes warmth, which came so fleetingly
Lovely lilting lullabies
Huddle 'round the soft white candlelight
Lengthening shadows bring the longest night
Foggy tendrils wrap their way
'Round our forms on us stay
Like a scarf made from above
Robe me with your ivy
Maple's red beside me
Quaking aspen in their boots
Grant me one last longing look
Give me scent of hickory
Fields of clover like honey
Nutmeg at my door
The year does promise more
Life spent with its brethren
