I was India number 1 junior player one day
Top 100 in the world in all kids my age
Thought I was on track to creating a name
For myself and my country in the hall of fame
I took a call at 16 to move to Spain
Work with the best teachers in the game
Went there on a mission
Had a clear vision
I was ready to start hitting
On the legendary clay
But after month 7 or 8
I wasn't quite feeling okay
A solid place to train no debate
But I felt in my brain I was losing my way
I didn't know what to even say then
Cuz I didn't even know what I was facing
Decided to stay quiet and grind
But it caught up much later the battle inside

I was the kid who was striving for glory

Then I got into a slump and I couldn't control it
I fell off the road and I didn't even know it
Something was wrong but I didn't wanna show it

That just stopped me from going ahead
And it was like that for like 5 years
Kept trying new ways to get the mind cleared
My fam and the team gave some ideas
But I blocked out the world thinking "why here"
Why in the prime time of my career
Junior slams in the near main draws I could see em
But I was taken over by a demon
And I couldn't find a way to even beat him
Once I lost control love and love was the score
Damn breakdowns over and over
I can't even remember how I got on this road
But soon after this I kinda hated the sport
So I quit
I said I'm done with this sh
I don't wanna swear but it is what it is
I was getting beaten by my own damn mind
I was playing every match against two damn guys
I was sick of it
So I said no more
Called up my fam and I went back home
I was done with tennis
Chapter closed
Fast forward 6 months
It hurt in my soul
I was gonna be the guy that peaked at 16
The guy who went and died in the fight with his demons
The guy who could've made it if he could keep dreaming
But fell off the radar cuz he was too deep in it all
So I thought please no
I cannot let this dream go
Whatever I'm facing I can push through
Even those times when I'm lost and I feel low
Cuz I might make it to the top or I may not
But I wanna look back knowing I gave it a shot
And I gave it my heart
And I gave it my all
And I got back up every time I was down
Now I'm looking forward in my head
