In Search Of Lost Time

In Search of Lost Time (French: À la recherche du temps perdu), first translated into English as Remembrance of Things Past, and sometimes referred to in French as La Recherche (The Search), is a novel in seven volumes by French author Marcel Proust. This early 20th-century work is his most prominent, known both for its length and its theme of involuntary memory. The most famous example of this is the "episode of the madeleine", which occurs early in the first volume. The novel gained fame in English in translations by C. K. Scott Moncrieff and Terence Kilmartin as Remembrance of Things Past. The title In Search of Lost Time, a literal rendering of the French, became ascendant after D. J. You thought ignorance would make a better man of me
Never cared to set me free, you just watched me losing sleep
Couldn't stop the shaking of my hands
Or the hell raging inside my head
So I pour myself another drink as my mind escapes reality
Abandoned and left to rest in this leaden casket
I lost my voice screaming for your help
You were deaf to my supplications
Like a decaying sunflower under the burning Sun
An unfaithful preacher who's prayers remain unheard
I left you to rot while you battled to keep me in bloom
I heard you cry at night, and fed from your misery
We tried to make it work for as long as we could
But it seems like we were only killing each other on the daily basis
And now that everything is over
And I start to forget the sound of your voice whispering tender words in my ear
I find myself sitting on the bathroom floor
Screaming hysterically as blood drips from my wrists for fourth time in a week
Was it meant to end from the beginning or were we just two unlucky souls?
I guess I'll never get my answer and this question will haunt me for the rest of my life
March nineteenth two thousand and eighteen, nine:fifteen am
This is where true pain began
Like a decaying sunflower under the burning Sun
An unfaithful preacher who's prayers remain unheard
I left you to rot while you battled to keep me in bloom
I heard you cry at night, and fed from your misery
'cause the Sun don't shine through leaden clouds
Your light faded out as my body burned
Your silence is deafening
Like the erased memory of a love that wasn't meant to be
Like a decaying sunflower under the burning Sun
An unfaithful preacher who's prayers remain unheard
I left you to rot while you battled to keep me in bloom
I heard you cry at night, and fed from your misery
Couldn't stop the shaking of your hands
Or the hell raging inside your head
Abandoned and left to rest in this leaden casket
I couldn't hear your voice, I was deaf to your supplications
